Most of the outdoor images at the start are overexposed in the skin tones. Maybe you were trying to compensate for the typical "racoon eye" outdoors where no fill flash was used.
I would touch-up the life lines on the faces to make the images more flattering.
Hey Sam, your pics are always bright and vibrant, but here some of the skin tones look almost blown, specifically 1, 2, 3, 4. 5 Looks right on the money, beautiful shot. I haven't read the other responses, so I don't know if anyone mentioned it. Of course, it could be my craptacular work laptop LCD. If so, disregard the above. Nice work.
I agree on the charlies angles. Even if the client was the one to start the idea, Sam, you could've gone more crazy with this, maybe you didn't dig it that much though, I don't know. I love the color ones, all up to your usual solid color and contrast with rich shadows! As for the charlies angles one, i think the fill light feature was used too much
the client will love them though, every one. another successful shoot notched under your belt (your belt is gettin' a bit worn down)
Holy smokes Sam, nothing like starting the new year with yet another kick ass shoot. As mentioned before, I really love your style. These are very inspirational as always. If I had to pick favourites, it would be 5, 6, 7 and 10. I'm having trouble figuring out what type of lighting you used in #6 and #7 (a&b). That's not natural light is it? Did you have a shoot thru umbrella to the right outside of the frame?
