Absolutely fantastic Gene. I remember your days shooting with the 10D and your images were fantastic then. Then the agonizing about moving up to the 1D2N and more great images. Back in the day you and Les Z were the kings of BIF and still are.

I see you are also the proud owner of a new MKIII, great shots
Were you using center spot or center spot with invisible ring, I'm curious
please let me know.
Thanks

Hi Tim,
Center spot only, no expansion.
Thanks,
Gene

Gene, these are awesome! Congrats on the new camera. I am sure we are in for some real treats.
Did you calibrate the lens to the camera yet? The images are super sharp.
I sold my MKIII recently--and I do miss it! Haven't had a chance to give my new 50D a proper test yet.
I'll get another one someday.
I calibrated them after this shoot. They required 0 adjustment
I'm a little bit late catching this post, but really glad I scanned the list a few pages down so I could find it. Great eagle shots are rare and these certainly are great; no matter the equipment you have always produced fantastic stuff. Can't wait to see all your new work in the future Mr. HawkMan, it's always tippy-top-echelon and incredibly inspirational.
First rate shots Gene. To keep whites from blowing and still have as much detail as is in the dark areas is a testament to the photographer and the cameras abilities.
Fantastic series, Gene!! Lots of Luck with your new MarkIII. My favorites are numbers 4 & 5 - the adult and "immie" eagles. These photos are absolutely perfect!
I don't know. These look a little soft to me Gorgeous shots Gene. Bravo, Bentlage and I were talking about Burlington today. May have to make that run this week.
