I just got a 50mm 1.8 and am interested in doing some macro work with it. Do any of you know of any good tutorials out there that I could read to get some info about camera/lens settings, techniques, etc? I have seen many of the great pics taken using this method and any info would be greatly appreciated.
I was also looking often for a book which describes well the use of extension tubes, teleconverters, and reversed lens macro techniques. One book which I can recommend is John Shaw's "Closeups in Nature", published 1987 by Amphoto.
Unfortunately mostly newer photo books lack good information about such techniques, handling, and calculation methods for magnifications.
