p.1 #1 · #56 Unusual Perspective - Choice

I would like your opinion which one of the following pics is most suited for the monthly challenge #56 Unusual Perspecitive .. C&C always welcome...

No.1 was an accident, I was trying to get my Unusual Perspective underneath und thru a footstool towards the light in our 4-season room. And then Dolly got very curious and poked her head thru and voila, this pic was created.

No.2 this is the view from our great room up toward the cupola...

No.3 unusual perspective - Good Morning Dad

2 out of 3 on the highly to extremely adorable rating
Second is, well, not adorable. But a very nice capture with interesting lighting and perspective.
First is the most unusual, but gves the impressin of your dog not having a body. First reaction was, cute, but bizarre looking. Maybe that works?!

Good luck.

just my personal view of course:

1: exceptional, different from what you usually get! great image, even a tad surreal in a sense. The bent wood of the stool really adds to it. nice framing of the dog's head

2: Nothing special here for me, a bit tonemapped-ish, nice perspective, but not wow-ish.

3. A dog, and legs. The image looks set-up (which is not bad!). Funny in a way. But a clear loser compared to #1.

As I said, just my personal ranking

I like the POV in #1. #2 & #3 strikes me more as whimsical.

i vote for #1. from the dogs catchlight in his eyes, the soft lighting in the bg, the clarity of his face, to the framing. i feel this picture works for the assignment. you can tell you are at your dogs level and that most dogs don't usually go under a stool (at least mine don't - but than again they're big breeds so they wouldn't fit ). #2, #3 aren't unique enough in the sense of 'unusual perspective'.

hope this helps and good luck

Thanks for all your inputs...

SCOTT: You have such nice way with the words you helped me to make up my mind, well, almost - I think I will go (using your words now out of context) with the most unusual, adorable, cute and bizarre looking # 1

ALEX: I appreciate your personel view and am delighted with your verdict on # 1...

To # 2: - not wow-ish ( nice word, Alex;-) I, too, prefer # 1 for this assignment.

To # 3: A Dog and Legs - Don't knock my husband's legs, Alex - Ein schoenes Maennerbein kann auch entzuecken; es kommt natuerlich auch auf den Betrachter an, nicht wahr? - I like your dry humour and totally agree with your assessment Translation for my English speaking friends: A well formed Man's leg is a sight to behold but,.of course, it's all in the eye of the beholder.

KADEN: Nice of you to give me your input - remind me again please - what does POV mean

TERROR; Thanks, definitely helpful!... And don't be surprised that Dolly dares to venture under the footstool - she is an accomplished Agility Dog and we would be in deep trouble if she didn't like to go into dark, tight places BTW we just qualified for the AKC Nationals for next year - we are soo proud....and she being only 3 1/2 years old.

Männerbeine, indeed are not my favourite subjects ... but I am full of hormone bias here
