Despite the responses, I got the photo. It was not a downer to me. I understand that not all "great moments" are moments of joy. In fact, while most people love jube shots, I personally enjoy images of dejection, moments where someone just lets go after a big loss and realizes that it's over.
To each their own. That's part of the beauty of photography. We each get to express what we see how we see it.
The only sports i do is when my sister asks me to shoot her games or her kids games. She plays for a womans professional football team. Here is a shot that i took with my Sigma 150 Macro and 20D this is the first frame in a 3 frame series,Here the girl is intercepting the ball, she lands it in the next frame and holds on in the 3rd frame.Posted smaller pics so i could include them all.

One of my favorite hockey shots from 2008, mostly because I pre-visualized the shot, set it up with a remote flash and it actually came out the way I pre-visualized it
I shot from the cat walk, and captured some of the players from the Saskatoon Blades of the WHL heading to the ice to start the game.
