First of all, props to all of you Mizzou shooters. I think I counted four guys who posted Mizzou football as some of their top shots of 2008. I may have run into one or some of you over the past two years.
As much as I dig the Mizzou Golden Girls, or any girl from LSU, I still come back to Cassie from Kansas. She is a dazzling beauty and she keeps me thinking of how to grab unusual shots or to try something new.
At the Border War (Kansas vs Mizzou) this year in Arrowhead, it rained, sleeted, and snowed. I felt bad for all the dancers and cheerleaders as they were soaked and frozen but still kept busy and active on the sidelines.
Poor Cassie. I walked up to her, and touched her hair hanging over hear headband. The ends of her hair was starting to do the icicle thing. As much as I tried not to talk about the cold and snow, that's all we managed to talk about.
This was the best technically correct photo, though I would have chosen a more compelling one of Cassie showing huge rain drops but it wasn't as sharp as I wanted so this is my favorite:

For me personally, I think this shot is the one that I enjoyed the most - and the reaction to the most... when processed it just seemed like a drawing and with the reflection and the single cheering parent I kinda dug it.
Not my Best but this one was just for me. As Anna was walking out from the media room I asked "Anna can I get a smile for the camera" and in a split second she turned and gave me this. I was the only photog that got that shot so it was just for me. It's not my best as I wasn't prepared too well, the shot is soft and it all happened so fast but how many men can say Anna K smiled only at them?

Yeah, AK has really mellowed over the past 3-4 years. She's become a smart self-marketeer/entrepeneur. She understands the media much better then her teen days when she had too many handlers. She's much more accommodating now and is still a knockout.

OKAY OKAY! Lets clear somethings up here.
I title this shot Little League Drama - the kid got ran over at the plate and both kids started to ball right then and there. By the next inning the tears were gone and they were both spitting sunflower seeds on the bench with the whole lot.
I like it because of the raw emotion that these kids play with.
I like this shot because it is something unique that no one shoots and i know that the kids are okay, not because i am some sadistic son of a gun.
