Shot an engagement session in Monterey Ca a few weeks ago. Had the pleasure of hooking up with FMer Quan. Great assistant and an eager student. He did awesome getting shots of the couple without even trying: Quan's take

2, 11 and 12 really do it for me. I have a feeling that they'll treasure #12. It's great!
Everyone else will say a million good things and deservedly so.... so here's my critiques:
10b: The left side of his head is taking a ride on the clarity slider.
14: I would have liked to have seen a CTO on that flash. Either way, it's a tough shot to execute, so props... Any trouble firing the PW's?
Forgot to mention that 13 is Hoffer inspired PP.
No, no trouble shooting the PW's at all. HOWEVER, I almost threw em in the ocean while shooting another shot. Spent over 10 minutes trying to get a running street shot and pdubs sucked hard. I was only about 25 yards away. What's the range rating?
1600ft... but daytime is harder and apparently Canon flashes give off interference. The biggest thing is making sure the antennas are pointed in the right direction.
dudeee!!! I'm on a roadtrip, and I just saw these through my phone, and these literally are mind blowing. Just wow! I'll add c&c once I'm back at home.
shot 1: love this-was that golden goodness really like that or did you warm it up in post?
6 and 11 are so cool-you really nailed this set-beautiful expressions, lots of intimate moments-they seem like they're very comfortable with one another and i think you capitalized on that and displayed it so well-you combine rock and roll with content, which is rare
no real critique, hassass, but wanted to give you specific props on WHY they're so good IMHO
LOVE THESE! You are taking your shoots to a new level.
My only nit is that I'm not a huge fan of the bluish tinge in the taxi cab shot. I kind of might like to see that with a 1/2 CTO gel on the flash. Just to see how it would look. Very nice set.
#1 is amazing Sam. I tend to always shoot so close up, wide angles are always a special treat. I love the "reverse" of number 7 way to tweak the concept. #9 is just too funny, its their facial expressions that say it all. #12 is beautiful, timelessly captivating! You are a master of the flare shot...
Question... how do you meter on your flare shots? Mine are always so washed out while yours are crisp and retain so much of the contrast...
