My parents have a broken Nikon N2000 with some pretty crappy lenses, but one of them kind of intrigued me as I hadn't heard of these before. There's this soligor dual focus 35mm 28mm lens in bad shape (haze, fungus, etc). I was wondering if anyone could tell me about this lens. Google wasn't very informative as far as I could tell. I mean, I get that you can switch between two discreet focal lengths quickly, but was this lens a good performer? Was it better than current zoom designs? It seems like it would have been two primes rolled into one. If it turns out to be a decent lens, maybe I could have it cleaned and just use it as a compact walkaround? It's quite small!
