This is the flag that was flying over the USS Arizona memorial in Pearl Harbor. I shot this in June when I had a chance to get to Hawaii. Xti and kit lens. I wish I would have had my D300 and other lenses on that trip. Great scenery there. I don't shoot much black and white, so I'd love constructive feedback as well as impressions.
This shot proves that one doesn't need all the highest-end gear to create great images. It's about vision, light, and even timing.
If one has the means to high-end gear and so chooses to use it, that's okay, too; but not necessary for MOST of us.
Thanks T. Yeah all of my Hawaii pics turned out great. I didn't like this one in color for some reason, even though the colors are perfect... I appreciate the feedback.
