Recently my family took trip our first trip to the "Biltmore" estate in Asheville, North Carolina. It was a cold night in the mountains of N.C. Thankfully my family was patient enough with me while I took my photographs. The Biltmore was built by George Vanderbilt in the 1890's, he was a rich bachelor at the time.

These are beautiful! Would love to see the inside!
In photo #1, the huge lighted tree is something that was cut and put there for the Christmas season. I believe they said it's a 50+ foot tree. I was very nice inside, but they don't allow inside photography. Which was a bummer, but it was a great tour. The only outside Christmas decorations were the skyscraper tree and its decorated siblings...
A fantastic place to visit whenever possible, but extra special during Christmas. The night-time Christmas tours are absolutely the best. I hope you are able to return in the springtime to see the gardens.
