Best thread I have ever seen. It should be turned in to a coffee table, and I would buy it.
I shot maybe 20 landscape images this year for I became a father for the first time, and my daughter has become my favorite subject.
As a sign of my recent pathetic life, I had to think really hard if / where I went this year to shoot something even remotely qualifying as a landscape. It's that sad, I know - one of the reasons why I went hiding from this board. After more than 15 minutes thinking I realized that indeed I did take one short trip this year, and the favorite capture from it - hanging 50x30" on my office wall - is this. Hope you like it a wee bit, too. http://www.phototrek.org/Travel/Tower/0005-b.jpg
I was so busy with work this year, that I honestly only got to go out and shoot real landscapes 3 times this whole year. Here is my favorite. And as usual, great shots from everyone.

Unbeleivable, I obviously missed this one, stunning shot.
I think the footprints make the image. I would have wanted a "clean" shot without the footprints and the image would have not been as spectacular as yours.

This is one from about fifty I posted on my site. The Aurora was so bright I could actually read news print in the middle of the night. It was a spectacular event. Out of the posted ones, I think this is my fav!
This thread has so many amazing photos. I've never experienced a lack of awesome with the photos that everyone posts. Here's my fav, sorry it's so big. 11 exposures, f/16, 4s each exposure, 50 f/1.8D (75mm equiv), Hoya R72 IR filter only, custom WB, Nikon D70s.
