Here is a first attempt at almost a full moon over San Francisco bay bridge. What do you think?

Very nice but the bridge's running out of the frame without an 'anchor' subtracts from the overall image, imo.

my 2¢ ,

I agree with Bob. On the processing side, I think you might cool the temperature a tad, darken the sky.

I would have gone for a much shorter exposure, and I agree on the need for an "anchor"

I understand the shorter exposure and darker sky but educate me on what an "anchor" would be?

Thanks

Hi Neville,

The second version looks much better.

"Anchor" is simply a figure of speech - in this case it would the point where the bridge meets land on the right hand side (or perhaps aother vertical tower) showing the bridge is attached to something rather than appearing to be heading off into space.

hope this helps,

Bob

Neville,
Sky looks better. Image is more realistic.
I think the anchor comment refers to some subject or feature at the edge of the frame to balance, define the image. As it is, the bridge just goes off into the edge of the image and appears cutoff.
