A great idea, and well done! I like the fact that the "style" of the person engrossed in Adams' work is very much of our current young generation, and suggests that the master's work will continue to live, as it should!
I have the very same book at home, however i am a generation adrift!!
Great choice and well executed and with that DOF he would have been proud.
Take care

Hello Jess, thank you. It is amazing how well his “old” theories apply to today’s digital black and white photography. You’re so correct; his work continues to “rock” with the new generations…

Agree with Photon, excellent idea and execution. I like the refection and the person reading the book, well done!
Thank you, Cliff. Unfortunately the thick glass table gave us a shadow reflection, but it helped to balance the composition anyway...

Hi Mark, just the thought that Mr. Ansel Adams would’ve been proud was your biggest compliment. Thank you!

Hi John,
Very interesting take on the assignment. I love your choice of the gloves. I think they make the shot.
Best wishes,
Steve S.
Hello again Steve. I’m glad you noticed the gloves because it was the hardest prop to pick. Most gloves are now very functional, designed to keep hands warm without a lot thought on elegance and style… Thank you.
John
This is well executed in so many ways, congratulations. For personal preference I would like to have seen the bare flesh rather than gloved limbs. Nonetheless, it's a great image.
