Regarding the technical aspects, I especially like the conversion in respect to the trusses. Wouldn't want to see them any darker or lighter. Of course, the maze of diagonals is quite interesting, too.
Regarding my interpretation, (I tend to look further into these shots), my first thought is, "Dude, it's 2008. You were up all night waiting for a call? Get a cell phone and get some sleep!" Joke is on me though. I'd like to think I'm the last hold out on cell phones. No thanks.
Thanks for the comments. I have a couple more I might post with water in the shots. This conversion was done with the Rob Carr method. I'm more into the Gorman method these days though, but I do recommend either for great results. That pier was really interesting to me in that early morning light. The color versions have this cool green hue.
As for T-bone the last of the cell phone hold outs. . .He did had a cell and whipped it out a couple of times while we were talking just to be sure he didn't miss the call. He met some girl at a bar and they were supposed to rendezvous at sunrise. . . I don't think it happened.
