I have to wonder if there's a story behind the cut in the tree. Could be a natural branch break. But the way the tree is "trimmed" makes me wonder if there could be a "Keep your damned tree on your side of the fence!" story.

No harshness here among ranchers where the trees and the fencelines start and end. The branches to the left are fewer since the tree is constantly buffeted by the winds coming in from the west.
A broken disturbing subject with so much seemingly implied in the space on the left. Unsettling, very engaging. I keep coming back to it, feeling a bit haunted. Processing seems just right.

Very captivating! Makes me really want to see through the blinding snow/fog in the empty white space. I am really drawn into this image. Now I've got to get warmed up and get the goose bumps to go down. Well done!
