One taken from a recent trip. Handheld (ok rested on a railing) of the Cojo ferry from Port Angeles WA entering the harbor as a seaplane maneuvers. Pretty dreadful shooting conditoins, and point and shoot taken. Some HDR recovery used to save a very dark image. http://i.pbase.com/o2/99/15999/1/106950688.MjNqw4ZY.Victoriaferry2blackandwhiteHDR.jpg
I would say you did a great job on any recovery made. At first I thought those light beams in the background, behind the buildings were the structure of a mountain with a plateau on top, and in the clouds! All sorts of things happening in this shot! The airplane is cool too!
Thanks Morg
The shot is a bit busy. The light beams were the only thing of obvious color in the whole landscape. Of course the buildings and structures were colored, but the shot was pretty dark, as it was raining lightly at the time.
You know, Tim, the shot is busy, but it's okay here. Nothing is busy in a distracting sense. My eyes are dancing all over this shot in a good way. The plane, boat, buildings, and sky are all interesting, and nothing begs to be removed.
Wow Tim I like this busy image! There is just so much going on and my eye is having so much fun wandering around seeing all these different elements. The detail in the water fro the plane is very nice, as well as the light breaking in from the horizon. You really "salvaged" this image into a great image!
