Unfortunately, I stopped believe in the S man when I was three. Accidently found a bunch of Christmas gifts in the closet and later, my Dad said that those gifts came from Santa during the presents opening. I didn't tell him, but I also knew better. Dumb I am now, but I was way too smart at 3 then I should have been.
I searched the web and read dozens of tutorials on how to make the swirls,
BUT in the end I found a photo, extracted the light trails and added them in layers... lol

I had an SB800 in the box set to slave using my studio strobes as the trigger.
The warm color was created by a Rosco gel covering the flash.
I was pretty happy with the set up, the hard part was getting her to look in the box.
