I finally found one at a good price. I really like my 35-70, but often I want more than 70. Like the 35-70 the wide open is pretty amazing. I hope my copy is close to the published MTF.
I have used this lens, and it is one of Contax's sharpest zooms. At 35mm the lens is at its best at f/8.0 but as you approach 135mm the lens is optimized for wide open performance! It's big, heavy and has superb IQ

Since it's not very common, the price probably varies a lot. I don't know if this is a good price, but its the best price I've seen on one in very good condition. By spec it's probably the best zoom made that goes from wide to over 100mm.
