Hey, Lil,
I like your book, it is very colorful and has some amazingly sharp/nice pictures. Yes, the premium paper introduced by Blurb recently (since October) is indeed very nice. Am sure you made a "hard cover with dust jacket". Yep, the price does go very high when you print 13 x11 pages. But what the heck.. price doesn't matter when it's your priceless book !!!
Lil, you poured your heart and soul into the book and it shows. Your father is a lucky man. Very well done my friend, you should be very proud as I'm sure your father is.

Looks like time well spent, Lil. Hard to tell from the preview size the offer on the website but I like the layout and the subject matter - awesome!
Ken
Ken, I've ordered a few copies to send out. But I will bring one with me so that when I see you next you can look at it. And that's a promise. Stephen & I will probably go out next weekend. I'll let you know where & when in case you'd like to join us.

Lil, the egret is perfection, the bee & flower inspires awe and I must say the little treeshark is cute although I am not their best friend.
Thanks PetKal,
very kind words. Glad you enjoyed the little treeshark. Her name is "Little One" & she takes peanuts from my hand a year later. She's most welcome here.

Lil, I don't know what to say - it looks really great, and I'm sure everyone receiving a copy will treasure it. I'd like to do one too.....some day ~ Ron
Ron, speechless.... didn't mean to make you so...
I didn't mean to use the premium paper - - that's what made it so expensive.

Congratulations !!

Thanks Kiran,
next one - mainly for my mother... will be kept to 120 pages. That keeps the price down a tad.

Thank you Tim,
you've just brought tears to my eyes - tears of joy.
That's magnificent! If you partake in pride, that is well deserving! (And no one needs to or could tell you about the self-satisfaction.) If I were one of the recipients, I'd be amazed and delighted.

Congrats, Lil. You should be very proud of your work. Well worth all the sacrifices I'm sure you had to face. Your father will be proud of you and of your work as well, and he will enjoy all the 280 precious moments you "painted" with light for him.

Thank you Socrate,
you put it so beautifully My sister is pretty sure our father will like it. That's a good sign - they are very much alike on this....

beautiful work Lil! I can see why it took you so long to decide what to include in the book. BRAVO!
Thank you Thang,
I can't wait to see it in print - - hopefully in the beginning of the week. I've promised Stephen to bring a copy out for him to see next time we meet up.
It's hard to say no to a photograph.... I didn't even get the skimming Skimmers in....
It was so amusing to be there to shoot Kingfishers & waiting my turn I happen to see the Snowy fly in & chase another bird of that dead tree stump. I moved & started shooting the Snowy instead. It sure was flamboyant & energetic. Just my personality - - full of vitality & life.
Well done Lil and in spite of it all with the fires and stuff you have acomplished a fine piece of your life. I started one going back to 1931 and so far I got to 1956 and for some reason it halted there. I should get back to it as from here on the photos get better also even have color. Great job I hope many of your family and others enjoy it.
