Hey Roger, some day I must get miself a Bushawk. That would be my last chance to get some half-decent swallow and passerine in-flight shots. With the regular handhold I just don't seem able to cross the line from carpy shots to decent ones.

I think Seagulls in flight represent a good BIF shooting practice target, intermediate in difficulty, before one tries their hand on doves etc. Plus the little buggers are plentiful.
Our Great Lakes winters are cursed by many days of poor light, yet sometimes there is that sort of diffuse illumination which might give interesting results. However, my old bones tell me they'd rather be in Florida now
