What a lovely mix Dave,
the last four are my favorites

Thanks Lil, I was wondering how the artsy stuff would go over

What a nice mix Dave. You do an awesome job on the feral cats, the faces tell such stories. Wonderful job on the white birds, 1 is not an easy exposure, it looks great. 7 may be my favorite of the bunch. The kinglet is well done, those guys don't sit still for a minute. I know, I have yet to capture one
Artsy, I don't like the atomic cormie, interesting but over the top. 10 is a treatment of one of my favorite shots of yours, I think I like the original better The last one, that one I do like, maybe because it is far enough away from being a photo so that it doesn't look contrived.
Nice set, I do like the experimentation.

Thanks a bunch Karl....oops, I mean Tim
Good to get some firm input....that kinglet was a grab.
He stopped by while I was shooting the feral cats

These are really nice. I like the last one and second to last alot. Was the effect or mods made on the bird done with Painter?
Thank you...the green heron was done with a combination of
Topaz Simplify and Topaz Adjust.....and then some selective saturations. Just fun to play

A great display and use of your many skills Dave. Particularly impressed with #7 (HDR?) and #1.
Bill
Thank for comment Bill.....that was a straight shot, actually with
a 400mm, so it has little depth. I pp with selective channels for saturation until I get the look I like. But as the sun was peeking in just a bit, this is quite close to how I remember it

Dave, you have a very interesting post here!!! As far as the photos go, the kinglet is my favorite!!! I love those little guys and gals!!! I love all of pharts!!! I love the white egret piece. Do you mind if I ask, What process you went about to render that? I have an idea of how to achieve that affect, but I was wondering in what way you did it. Nice work Dave!!!
Thank you for comment Brenton....asking about white egret #10?
I rendered the original image for a pastel look, and used Topaz Simplify filter plugin

awesome photoshop skills dave. #10 and +1 are simply beautiful. reminds me of watercolor paintings. +1 in particular has vibrant colors in the feathers. how did you learn how to do this?

Thanks for looking in Hung. re: #1, I use Capture One for RAW conversion and can get back and incredible amount of detail.
I actually intentionally darkened the lower shadows for effect,
Eyedropped the green and boosted its saturation.
See below....blocked shadows and blown whites
