Congratulations on having such lovely kids. You pictures are amazingly sharp and I really like your B&W conversion. Would you mind share a little of what you did?
B&W conversion done with the channel mixer. The real secret is in duplicating the layer, changing it to Overlay and using the shadow/highlight tool to really enhance the mid tone contrasts to bring out lots of detail. It requires a good bit of tweaking but the results are very nice when done right.
