Used Graphi for a couple of years and their software this year, lost count of the number of albums I have had from them certainly in excess of 30. Last year had a success rate with them of about 2 right first time our of every 5 sent. This year it is better about 4 right first time for every 5 sent. UK reps totally hopeless so I dont bother with them and ring Italy direct. Every single time I have found them to be helpful and the problems are resolved very quickly and of course at their expense. As a result of these mistakes I have ended up with lots of sample albums to show for free when for example they have simply printed a page in the wrong order etc. I pride myself on customer service and like everyone hate it when a company takes liberties, however until a company comes up with a comperable product/price I will stick with them as my customers loves them. Regarding the software, I quite like it, prior to using it I would design directly in CS3 now I can get the job done in a fraction of the time, maybe not as fancy but had no complaints. I take a large 19" laptop to the customers house and show the album design on the graphi software instead of proofing and it works a treat.
Sorry if your experience differs and you have come to the end of your tether, I can understand that.
Cheers
Steve
been using kiss and they have top notch customer care.. I have recently placed my 1st order of graphis and it went really well. This software would be good for some but for me I like to start out on my own blank page and no templates. by the does anyone know who to make guide lines for album spreads?

Hi
I notice a few Mac users here - I'm currently windows - But I wanted to find out if anyone else has had issues 'send'ing the album - this is supposed to zip the files and album into a seperate folder. All I've found it do on two different machines is create a log file error.
I saw the demo of the software at a Graphi Seminar and was really impressed - after much delay and as other have said - this seems very buggy and little more than a Beta version - the old addage, you get what you pay for.....
I'm having the same problem trying to "Send" the album. Sucks too, as I've got several hours in a couple different albums I want to send. I'm using Windows Vista 64 bit.
Hi Does anyone know how to bring the image forward so that it appears on top of a template. I've clicked on the bring to front options but not a lot happens. The template I am using is has a feathered effect on it and it is showing through.
Thank you
we stopped using them last year because of the 4-6 week turnaround then if there was a problem it took 3-4 weeks to fix it. when you called they were rude and ignorant on the phone then took forever to get back to you. But when they call you they are very pushy and demand your projections and would call non stop. I finally told them we are stopping using them and they yelled at me and said I wil never find another company as good. I said your right I will find better. Since then we have used millers, art leather and finao. nothing but greatness

Ok, I have a questions for the photographers who offer 2 or more type of albums from more then one company.
For instance.
Faino has several sizes and a ton of covers
How do you price your albums, like a 30 page 12x12 from each company?
I have done some research, and most 12x12 albums and can had for between 250, to 500 dollars.
Then you figure you add 2 to 3 times to get your selling price.
So how much do your prices change between art leather and finao, and Kiss etc....
gary good question...
how we do it is we offer a slimline album (magazine style) from one company, a standard black leather coffee table book from one company and then one a coffee table book from another company that has the option of different covers.
so we have 3 price points
1 for slim
1 for black and 1 for different covers
of course there are many prices from the different size books but it makes it easy. a bride chooses a style then we go on size and pages.
2010 we are doing less companies and 2011 we are thinking of just doing one company. but we will see. products change and so do we.
We've just had a lot of issues lately with almost every book that comes in. And our rep is the most difficult person on the PLANET to reach. And recently, there was a "special deal" fiasco that completely ticked me off. So now we're looking for a replacement.
+1. I have the problem as well. The sale rep REALLY SUCKS....
