I wasn't surprised to learn that you have 3 copies of the Oly 40/2. Out of interest, are they of nearly equal quality or is one copy superior to the others?

Having more than one 50mm (or so ) lens is not what the OP asked about. Duplicate/identical copies of the same lens. Makes sense to me if you really love something that is no longer made. Other than ruining your budget I don't see where cost has anything to do with it. I have a $40. lens I really like and would grab a 2nd copy if I could find one.
