Most of the shots were taken on Iowa side of the Mississippi river near Dubuque and Bellevue. I think it was the Lock and Dam 12 and 13.

Harsha, I have looked at your fine images for many months, they are always a treat for their quality of for the emotions they evoke, these do both for me sir! Fine captures of a bird of great symbolism. Beautiful work as colors and exposures are wonderful. For once I have a nit for you I think you may have slightly over did #6 on the yellow channel
