Took a bus tour into Denali NP last summer. Ran across this guy near one of the rest stops. Just had time to snap a couple of pictures before others ran up and scared him off. Not sure if this is an artic fox or some other kind.
I have never seen a fox with a mane like that. So I decided to take a closer look for what type it is. From what I didn't find I can only conclude that it is possible that your pic is not a fox but something else altogether or a crossbreed with some other canine species. Here is a list of the fox varieties I did find pics of that don't match your pic.
Arctic fox
Argentine grey fox
Azara's fox
Bat-eared fox
Blanford's fox
Cape fox
Colpeo fox
Corsac fox
Crab-eating fox
Darwin's fox
Fennec fox
Grey fox
Hoary fox
Indian fox
Kit fox
Pale fox
Red fox
Ruppell's fox
Sechuran fox
Swift fox
Tibetan fox
