Don't know what sort of critter this is, he's about 0.5cm long....

Using the MT-24 with John's instructions..(this is practice)

ETTL-1/3 stop down, no post processing, except cropping shot at 2x...

ETTL 0

He came back but only for a short while so couldnt get this right, but noticed that the overexposure of the hairs is nearly gone....also what's that on his back..doesn't look good...

Looking good Karen - just takes some practice/experimentation to get used to different shooting situations. With my single flash I have to adjust FEC upto 2 stops in either direction depending on the situation.

Think your flower wasp has just got pollenated.

Much better Karen -more "depth" in those shots and fewer hot spots. From the reflections it almost looks like you're still using ratio control. If you are then turn it off -trust me on this one...

Agree with Brian -looks like pollen on that solitary bee (don't think it's a wasp).

The first two are of a sucking bug (Hemiptera, Heteroptera). The pale colours in this adult suggest that it has recently emerged from the last nymphal instar.
