just got this over the weekend along with the 35 1.4L. just need to get something fullframe and i cant decide! some quick shots outside in the freezing cold

Nice shots! I love the color and contrast on the second one. One subjective comment, maybe cropping a bit from above her head. Beautiful either way.

Wow! Somebody buys a f1.2 lens and then shoots at f1.4.

Very unusual. Typically they shoot wide open and overdo the blurring of the face.

The first could be cropped a bit on our right, and the second, as Jeff says - some off the top. You've got quite a furrowed brow in that second shot, but I guess you were more testing the lens than doing a shoot. Enjoy.

awesome. I just got this lens too and Im in love with it. I love the first one. It relly portrays the cold winter look which is something that I love.

so I have the 35 L, a 50 and the 85 1.8. I had the 85 1.2 but decided to sell it since i really didn't use it as much. Honestly, both are amazing lenses but I find myself shooting much more at 50 or 35 and find the 85 1.8 good enough for the moments when I really need a short tele. If its a focal length you'll find you need often, go for it.
