Did you guys see the picture where the cosmonaut was holding a Nikon camera and a fairly big lens pointing down? Well, actually it is picture No. 7 the OP was referring to. I bet that the camera used to take that shot was a Canon? Why? It was backfocusing badly...... . Ouch, just kidding .

It's either a Nikon D1X or a Kodak 760, these are the two cams that were brought on this mission to replace the F5... So add "Kodak" to the previous two "spacecam brands"... The USSR have by rumour used a Kiev/Contarex copy for many, many years ago, so make this three.
The lens is an early prototype Nikkor 200F2 with it's very characteristical hood mounted... Here used together with the specially made NIKON/NASA 2xTC that was also used on the just released AF-S 400mm f/2.8D IF-ED II (to save 6kg's of weight over the 400/800 combination). I find this kind of incredible, as the lens was officially released May-2004... But there's no VR controls at the lens-barrel, and the (Super-ED) and (VR) badges are missing too...
