Oh the composition in this last shot is breat but I think it would be even better if the spines aren't cropped.

Just a little side note, this would be one of those situation when you would be limited by the MP-E lens. The unique feature of this spider requires much less magnification than 1:1.

after looking closely at the photos, i realised that I shot 2 diff spider!! just notice the patterns and spike on it's back ( i went to the same spot twice in 15 minutes)

Haha I googled them after I saw the image to make sure they don't live near me. Since they are in malaysia I think I am safe I'd pretty much bet that Id cry and run away if I saw one in real life.

Great shots! Maybe the spines prevent birds from easily swallowing the spider.
