OK, I have the following equipment
Canon 40d
Canon EF100f/2.8 macro
Canon EF24-70f/2.8L usm
Canon EF70-200f/4L IS usm
Canon Speed lite 430ex II
Manfrotto 055XproB tripod
Manfrotto ball head 486rc2

My interest are Landscape, macro (flowers and insects) and People (Portraits)
My question is, what would be your recommendations for any other lens that may help me. Assume money is not a problem

Thanks, Jeff

You might want to invest in an ultra-wide angle such as the Canon 10-22mm if you enjoy landscapes. Otherwise your line-up is perfect for what you shoot. My only other recommendation would be to maybe pick up or trade in for a 5D since it is compatible with all of your lenses and would give you a lot more image quality for portraits and landscapes.

Tokina 11-16 at the wide end for landscapes and maybe a sigma 50mm f/1.4 (some may recommend the Canon 50L but it has its issues) for portraits on the cropper. Beyond that, go do alllllllot of shooting and learn by experience.

Assuming money isn't a problem, I'd add a 5D and a 17-40L.

money not a problem? get the trinity 35,85,135 (all L's)
you could even add the 2 wider as well 14 &24mk2

Other than that the 16-35 would go nice in the set and also maybe the Tokina 11-16 as well

Since money isn't a problem, dump the present kit. Purchase two 1DsMKIII's and a copy of each L lens made. Move to Hawaii, buy a tourist helicopter business and wear flip-flops every day.....

Oh, wait...that's my fantasy...sorry.

My recommendation (since a recommendation is what you asked for) is that you carefully consider the photographs you have made with the current gear, asking yourself questions like:

- what photographs have I been unable to make because my gear was not appropriate?

- in what ways has the current gear not worked well for the photographs I have made?

- what directions am I interested in going in with my photography?

With answers to these and similar questions it may be possible to see that a) your current gear is just right for you, or b) there are some lenses (or other gear) that will help you out where the current gear has fallen short.

Of course, buying more gear just to have more gear doesn't make much sense.

Take care,

Dan

See where you're limited now.

Do you need wider? Better high ISO performance? More reach?

Go from there.
