p.1 #1 · Upgrade to New Apple 24"???

I currently have the Samsung 245 T. Would the new backlit Apple 24" be a huge upgrade? If it is, what would be the resale value of the 8 month old Samsung?

Thanks.

no. Glossy screen. Bah. I have a new glossy MBP and sure the case is nice, but the screen has glare even in low light. Anything bright and it is a mirror. I would rather have the old 23". It has firewire 400 (something my MBP does not have).

I am now working on my 4th macBook Pro with glossy screen, won't ever buy a matt screen again. It's a matter of reflection vs. flare. The screen is more consistent and easier to see in bright surroundings .. good for a laptop.

As far as a desktop monitor, a little different beast since you have some control of the ambient light and can reduce the flare/glare on a matt screen. However, I do work on a 24" iMac in one location, and the glossy screen really isn't an issue for me there. My main image work location is a darkened room, where I use the 30" ACD.

I'm putting the new 24" screen at my office, but I'll admit I won't be doing any heavy photoshop or image work there. It will work just fine for the times I do, but I'm interested in the integrated iSight/speakers for my office environment.
