There is a Rokkor 58/1.2 document on the web that references a quarterly publication available in Japan and maybe only in Japanese. The following link is all I could find: http://www.camerapedia.org/wiki/Kurashikku_Kamera_Senka#Minolta
Apparently, there is an article on this lens in the #14 edition published around 1988.
The Noct has an aspherical surface on one lens element (early versions hand-polished, later versions done with a machine) but in all other respects the optical formula is identical (according to a well-known German optical engineer). This gives the Noct an advantage wide open with point-light sources and this has been demonstrated in several tests, but none that I know of that compare it directly with the Rokkor.
I'll check through the tests I have, they may have been compared both in MP at some point, comparisons would be valid since they used the same test method for years.
Minolta had an in-house publication called the Minolta Mirror I think, though not sure if it circulated in the US or if it's even relavent to this discussion.
