Every so often a image exceeds your expectations. It doesn't happen to me very often but this was the case with this composition. The camera LCD did not even come close to the colours I saw on the monitor when I got back home.
This is part of the collection I am still working on from our recent Muskoka, Ontario Thanksgiving weekend shots.
This is awefully neat, Al. The colors, especially the red-blue-green trio in the upper half is a godsend for the eye. The portrait-oriented format suits the subject very nicely, there is a long vertical and a short horizontal which do not compete, rather they hint at the vaster landscape surrounding this colorful patch.
Boy, some nice red leaves in this one. We need to import a few of those leaves here to California so we can have something besides yellow leaves to shoot...
Very Nice Al, I like the layered parfait feel to the three main colors. Very crisp and comp works well. You never know what to expect so just keep shooting...
Thanks Santiago, Jim. Ian, and Stan.
Sometimes it's just the colour combination that is all you need to be attracted to a scene. I colours drew me to this spot that I would not have normally have taken the time to capture. The surprise for me was how well it all seem to work when I viewed it on the screen when we got back from our trip.
This is really nice with super Autumnal colours. I like the way the leaves are sort of layered with red at the top green in the middle and yellow at the bottom, despite the fact they are in different planes in reality. The compoition helps by having the left side mainly blue in contrast. Good shot, and well seen.
Thanks
Karl, David, Allen, and Roman. Great to hear from all of you. The colour combination
really seemed to add so much to the comp. Appreciate al of you taking the time to comment.
