Well it had been a while since I had been across town to Moms. Her garden was settling down for the winter but still had some visual treasures. These are all canon 5D, 85L with extension tube handheld.

What I learned today is that AI Servo beats a tripod and to watch where I am walking in Mom's back yard (dogs)
Mike, you have a very nice style going on here!!! I really like photos #2, 6 and 7. The purples in photo #2 are very nice!!! The DOF in shot # 6 is sweet!!! I love the soft green tones in the image!!!
Looks like you are hooked on that rig Mike and in a good way to be creative with colors and forms and comps
Of the berries I prefer the second one. #3 not so sure I like the 'down' view so much, #4 is a beautiful exposure and a very soft feel to the petals and layering, #5 comes across a bit 'hard' compared to others but a dramtic choice of colors and a nice comp IMO, I really like #6 but would love to have had the tip from the bottom leaf included and #7 I like best of the other shots you posted of this flower, dang Dave has a good eye to catch that one downturned bloom
Hi Mike
#12 might just benefit from a lower angle looking up to the flower or even focusing on the smaller intense fuchia colored one? The dark red leaf could be the only BG in a tighter crop.
#11 doesn't seem quite plant like enough for me, would be a good candidate for a dew drop shot
#10 I am still struggling to like the berries maybe a green BG sometime
#9 would like to see the trailing end dissolving away in the frame
#8 this works for me, I tried these spiny subjects and never got one I liked but I do like your shot
There ya are, my .02 for your considerations...........
