p.1 #1 · Yellowstone- Mammoth Hot Springs

Constantly changing year-by-year, the hot springs at Mammoth break out in new locations, live and grow, and then fade away as the upwelling hot water finds new paths to the surface.
Three interpretations.
Scanned from slides.

All nice shots, but the last is my favorite!

The last is really great Charlie. There seems to be a slight blue or cyan cast in shaded portions of the scan. If you'd like some suggestions on how to work with this, send me a PM. I can provide some suggestions both in the scanner and in photoshop. The last time I was at Mammoth there was almost no activity, but the time before it was building a new travertine wall and gushing out of the canary spring.

The last one is a killer shot. Keeping so much detail in the whites is really hard to achieve. Amazing.
