Hey all, just thought i'd share this one with you guys. This was my second roll I shot with the panoramic 6X17 camera and also my second time working with film for that matter. My first roll was quite a disaster which I totally screwed by trying to be my own light meter instead of trusting a real light meter
Anyway, I was looking through my stash of slides and noticed that it was almost exactly 2 years ago since I took my first panoramic shot. I marked the slide sleeve 13/11/2006 - which was the date I picked up those slides.
I still remember having to sacrifice a roll of Velvia 50 to get the spare spool as it was already late in the evening. Bare in mind this was back in the day when Velvia 50 had stopped production and was super hard to find!
I also vaguely remember slipping and almost falling on my ass with camera attached to tripod in hand. In any case camera comes first, ass second!
Compositionally I would've moved the camera more to the left such that the tree is closer to the right edge. I didn't know how to use the ground glass or viewfinder appropriately back then. Anyway...

Pretty sweet work here. What wonderful colors and a nice silhouette. I can imagine what that had to have felt like in sacrificing that roll of Velvia 50!
