p.1 #1 · Olympic Skier

Got to take some shots of an Olympic Skier working out the other day on dry land. I used a remote flash to try and get something a bit different.

Let me know what you think

My thought: "Too dark."

Show more of figure (first image) and more surroundings "ambient" light.

I hope that helps you.

I see what you were trying to do here...IMO I think they are too noisy and underexposed. The last two are the best of the set

All good attempts but would but still miss the mark. i'd try the session again about 2 hours before sundown. with the right lighting, you could do this set during high noon as well. Fitness kinda calls for that.

They all have that "taken in the dark" look.

What are some ways to avoid the taken in the dark look? I tried to brighten them up a bit today but as you can see with the last one the flash seems a bit hot??

on the second set...the first two are really good...the 3rd is ok...just needs some color correction. the last one...the flash is way too strong.

the first two of the second set are great.

you need to pump up the iso and use the fastest lens you can then use your flash just for fill
