p.2 #2 · advice for plan for MF primes for 5d MkII
My soon-to-be-current lenses:
Super-wide: Oly 21/3.5 (will arrive next week, hooray!)
Wide: Oly 28/3.5 (little bit damaged after a sad accident)
Normal: Rokkor 58/1.2 and/or Pentax K 50/1.2
Short Tele: Canon 100 Macro (I know, but it's that good ) and/or Oly 100/2.8
Don't shoot more than 100mm equiv but I might buy a Oly 200/5 just for fun

Alexandre, you may want to look into the Nikkor 200/4 if you want something at a really inexpensive price. I will see if I can get out this weekend and get some examples to post.

I'm a little disapointed with it's performance full open and it flares a lot at night on my 40d, but maybe it's because of the cheap adapter.
About painting the adapter - I donīt know if it makes any difference, but there is a potential for having light reflect inside the mirror box in the cheap all-metal adapters. Never seen any evidence that this actually happens, or that it affects anything if so, but I went through all my adapters and painted them black on the inside just in case.
I cannot see any other potential for flaw in an adapter. Either it works, or it doesnīt. I have about 30 cheap adapters and none of them give me any (real) grief. A little looseness sometimes, but I put small strips of tape on the loose connection points until it fits snugly.

hi rachp, it would be great to see some samples of it. But as I said I seldom shoot tele and I'm becoming a Zuikoholic let's see some Nikkor samples tho.
