Well, as alot of you may know, most Nikon users in this board look down upon the Canon section due to alot of "childish" users lets say. Now, with Nikon gaining more and more ground, how long will it be until all those childish users are Nikon shooters? OH no!!1!
I hate to say it, but that's why a lot of regulars have already left this forum...
"Look at my photo from X camera shot at X iso" regardless of photo content. I mean really, bokeh tests of horrible photos at high iso's as if its supposed to inspire people? Really
I wish this Nikon was back to being the chump so this place could be fun again.
Depends on where its at. Way I see this place, there is a place for serious and a place for fun. Landscape, macro, CC....there you should put up your A game pics.
Here, ehh, not every shot has to be setup for minutes, tweaked, etc.. The nikon forum you see "snapshots" sometimes. Cool with me, its what I do 75% of the time. I have landscape shots on flickr that got a lot of compliments (from people I don't even know... ). Those took a long to set up, wait for a cloud to pass overhead, etc, etc. Worthwhile yes. But sometimes something off the wall and spontaneous catches your eye too. Those are worthwhile too.
May just be me, but this place supposed to be fun. Photography is supposed to be fun. Expecting people to break down to the rule of 3rds, worry about compostion and lighting, and the other small details for everything....would kill some of the fun think. FM has its serious side, but all work and no play makes johnny a dull boy.

thats more of what I was getting at. I've been a lurker since early 2006, and I've seen quite a bit of "senior members" leave the community. Especially since the Nikon vs. Canon war has started this year. Its really a sad thing when you have great photographers who give great advice are "forced" to leave the community. We lose alot of valuable information. One member I can think of off the top of my head is steadyhand. I dont recall him ever posting in the Canon or Nikon section, more so in the People section. But the advice he gives is golden. It will be a sad day when he decides to leave.
