p.2 #1 · How do YOU Yak

I"m not much into the Bags like you Boyz are...... But whatever floats your boat LMAO

Do they make a big big enough for my 600 or 500 while it's attached to the Mark III ?
All the drybags I looked at weren't long enough.

Dipace I have the Advanced Elements inflatable Yak too for two Gotta say I love it

No way Ant is paddling faster than me with a camera in his lap and Chad in the backseat with his hands wrapped around

NRS sells a long dry bag that can fit a 500 w/hood. It is the roll down type and has a 9 inch diameter and is 35 inches long.

First of all, I never launch the kayak. I get wet enough staying on shore and walking through the rain. Second, I would never go out in a kayak without a skirt. That is a female in a skirt. I don't care for kayak skirts.

You would be interested in a bag if you went out in salt or rough water.
If you're too lazy to look for a bag yourself you can at least supply us with the dimensions you need. A quick look and I saw one 15.5 inch by 45inch.

We are too helpful Tim! He needs to be more appreciative. Perhaps he can start by letting us borrrow that 800mm when he gets it.

Hey there aren't any initiatives on the ballot that prevent you and Chad from getting your love on yak style

If the boat is a rockin' . . .

On a serious note - I haven't taken the 500 on the water yet but am planning to. While I haven't come close to taking a swim yet, I want the comfort that only a $35, plastic dry bag can provide. I am going to pick up one with the dimensions I mentioned above. I'll let you know how it works out.

Where is Chad anyone - I am on fire tonight and he isn't even responding.

I've been using an Advanced Elements AirFrame inflatable. At 10.5' long by 32" wide, its not breaking any speed records, but it's far more stable than any roto or glass boat I've taken out. It's a quick turner because of its size and flat mid-section. I can lean way over the side without worrying about tipping (it's never gone over even once). For paddling flat water and making quick changes in direction, the thing's great. For taking a ride out of the harbor into open ocean, I cancel any plans for the rest of the day, 'cause that's how long

DiPace, very well said! Thanks for joining in.

Great advise Tim, I follow about the same rules as you do when yakking.. I have this BAG If you click the size tab you will get all sizes, pretty sure I purchased the LARGE bag, 500mm with the Mark III attached fits great.

NOTE I find shooting without the lens hood on my 500mm is a big advantage to BIF, you don't have the extra weight being slung around to threw you off balance.

Great points by all except J
