I take photos at a wedding as a guest just to have a few nice 'family snaps' of me, wife and any good friends who are also going. C'est tout.
Frankly, it is is utterly bonkers to bring a load of potentially pro-level gear and use the event as your personal photo playground. It's like turning up a sports game dressed head-to-toe in the team uniform and running on the pitch.

Surely it's more like trying to juggle a 600mm lens in the stands while the people behind you plot your demise. Neither event is primarily about photography.
