Holland is famous for its windmills. The little village Kinderdijk got a lot of them standing together. Last Saturday I made an early trip to catch the sunrise.
I can't say precisely why, but I really like this. Maybe the simplicity, maybe everything leading my eye back to the furthest windmill. I think I might like it more, though, if the bottom of the photo didn't have those two black objects - I can't tell what they are and I keep going back to them. They seem slightly out of place.
I agree with Malco about the fg objects, but I still like the overall scene. Excellent comp with the row of windmills leading to the sun, and lovely light backing the windmills. I'd also be tempted to crop about half of the featureless sky.
Thanks for the comments. I have thought about cropping some part of the photo but then it's missing something. Now the stuff at the bottom of the photo lets your eye follow it to the horizon.
