Thank you Aaron . Sunsets around here have been rare in recent months --- whether you wait for darkness or not !

Simply gorgeous, Captain! It's good to see you still cranking out superlative tomes with your sturdy camera. Here's to the hope that you will finally have some fair skies for extended periods over the isle of Britain.
Many thanks Larry . It's always good to hear from you ; weather here has improved somewhat , so perhaps we''ll get some good colour in a few weeks time .
Adrian your patience has paid off in spades. I love the composition as well and the masterly processing that I have become accustomed to in your work. Superb capture.
Absolutely outstanding Adrian. A great composition, which is equally graced by the color. And it's all topped of by the matching (almost) textures in the sky and grass. Beautiful.
Oh, yea. I obsess for these opportunities, in the limited time. Watch weather, always looking at the sky and wind direction. . . "this could be the one" usually never pans out (unless you put the gear away, that is). But when they happen. . .
Excellent opportunity, well exposed. Jealousy barely, but sufficiently, contained.
I'm surprised no one made note of what I think is a bit of over sharpening of the trees against the sky, and a portion of the horizon. It might be perfect full sized, and this is a reduced size effect, but I found that unfortunately distracting.

How kind , Al . I don't have your dedicated patience , but I'm working on it !
