I think the theme might be enhanced if the boy was looking toward the baby instead of the camera.

This is incredibly beautiful, flawless technically, the PP/B&W is stunning ... works very well with this image. I would agree though that the bottom child seems distant, maybe even aloof, not loving ... but the baby sure looks content
