Thanks for all of the nice comments. We just got power back and made it through the storm relatively unscathed. These two pics illustrate before and after silhouettes on our most significant damage (I think we got 65-75 mph winds). See if you can spot the difference.
Glad to hear you made it through unscathed must have been a worrying time. Love your shot the sky is just incredible, please tell me you used filters as this cant have been the real colour .....can it ?
Take care and best of luck
Mark
Thanks for the nice comment. No filters on this one. This was the real color. The night before the storm hit, the sun dropped below the edge of the clouds and lit them up from below. It certainly foretold a wild ride.
Tom--As always, this is a top-notch shot. My only suggestion would be to try to get some separation between Carter and that first fence board on his right. At first glance, and because there is such symmetry in Carter's silhouette, Carter could be mistaken for a cornerpost of the fence. Colors are great and the perspective is intriguing!--Frank
It passed about 30 miles to the east of us. We got hurricane force winds out here for sure. We didn't lose the tree - just the fence behind it. We're pretty lucky compared to some other sections of town.
