I am interested in learning more about this lightstick I see mentioned here a bit. I did a Google search and reall the only thing that I could find was an article back in November 2007 about the potential for its resale to the public. Where do you guys buy this thing and do you care to post samples of pictures used with it?
and just close the tripod while holding it (or pull the "pole" out). I have that set at home to hold two 430EX II's and I think it would work just fine as a "light stick". It's a very light setup. Then you also have the bonus of being able to attatch an umbrella if you wanted to.
