The rest of us still need fast primes, or would prefer a 400 5.6 thats sharper than the 80-400 at 5.6 if you shoot it at 400 all the time...

if I got the depth of field I get with fast lenses, but the same speed as a 5.6 I would probably go for it.... speed isn't of huge worry to me... but the DOF is....
