p.1 #1 · Bands are family.

Hey friends,

I have been bored with some of my recent stuff so I tried to push it a little further with this shoot today. What do you think so far?

Rian

Update: here is the final version:

It's a very good image, I like it. It's nicely lit and good placement of your subjects...looks like a back stage "press" shot. The "illustrative look and feel" post processing fits the style and intent as with many of the other images you've posted.

I love this shot...composed beautifully! I love the Dave Hill style PP done, I love the feel it gives the shot.

Great job!

I don't understand the 'dollar sign' piece of paper..? It almost looks like it was drawn on..?

You kind of answered your own question by posting the darker one. lol

Seeing both now, the second is a touch better IMHO...

Rian, Wow man. What an excellent image.
Just love the overall look and feel.

One issue, maybe it is possible to tone-down the really bright area on the left cheek, of the 2nd guy(dark sunglasses) I find that my view is repeatedly drawn to the triangular shape, just seems a bit unnatural - distractingly apparent.

Please, for us slower folks, please provide some of the PP that you used to achieve such a stand out shot.

Thanks, Bob

Its not all post

1: Beauty dish just above the camera
2: reflective umberella about 20 feet directly above there heads
3: giant soft box behind the door at full power to make it glow

The post was basically highlights and shadows, film grain, pulled down the saturation, yellow photo filter, some fake smoke for the cig and clone tool all over their faces
