Nah, keep the EOSfun. Trust and you will see: the next camera is no 1DsIII You will be happy and even though a lot of 5D owners will be happy too for the ability to upgrade, there will be whiners who will complain and be disappointed. There is a few sour cream eaters here in the thread as well who have way too high expectations and would not be satisfied even if Canon put the latest 56MP Leaf medium format camera in an EOS box

They can.
It just sucks to own a 1DsIII.
I have every confidence that my 1Ds3 will keep on pumping out 21 excellent megapixels from ISO 50 to ISO 12800, whatever Canon announces, and it still won't have any competition until the 5D2 is on shop shelves.
@ dcmiller: I feel with you and anybody who feels like you. I remember to a friend purchasing Alias/wafefront software 15 years ago for his 50K SGI Unix stuff at a prive of 20.000. After it was transfered to Windows the hole package was 5.000 on a 8.000 PC running 3 times faster ...
He is still in business. Using PCs today.

It is Ralph. Put the 2650 aside, preregister if possible at your local dealer and you will soon have EOSfun at your very best. I am sure this is gonna be your favorite model!

Looks like the 5D replacement has some serious banding and shadow noise issues. 'Course, this might be from the in camera jpeg processor.
Ouch looks like we'll only be getting 4 bit capture - nasty posterization!
Anyhoo
This thread has turned into soap opera gold. If you recall Seinfield was a show about nothing, absolutely nothing and was brilliant, and now we have a thread about absolutely nothing. We are sitting on ratings gold if this gets turned into a production. Of course the casting will be critical to pull it off though and the shows title will need to be bold
